It started in the army.

Picture a room built for four, sleeping six, with boots by the door and an air that hadn't been fresh in weeks. That was home for a good stretch of my service - along with everyone else's gear, laundry, and 2am conversations.

Somebody brought in a little flame diffuser, half as a joke. We filled it, turned it on, and something actually shifted. The room didn't just smell different - it felt different. That small orange glow in the corner made a cramped room full of tired guys feel, for a few hours a night, almost calm.

When I got home, I couldn't stop thinking about it. My own room needed that same shift - and so did most people I knew. That's really where LAMIROL came from: not a business plan, just wanting to bring that same feeling - from stale and cramped to warm and calm - into more rooms than just one army bunk.

Everything we sell gets judged by the same question that first diffuser answered for us: does this actually change how a room feels? If it doesn't, it doesn't make it into the store.
